St Xavier’s College, Mapusa commenced its Diamond Jubilee Celebrations and formally inaugurated the Academic Year on 8th October, 2022. The programme began with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by his Eminence Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao.
Explicating on the theme for the Diamond Jubilee Year, ‘Together on a Mission, Working Hand-in-Hand for Transformation’, His Eminence emphasized that the mission of the college is to go beyond imparting information and knowledge, to bring about a transformation in life.
On the occasion, His Eminence also unveiled the commemorative logo of the 60 years celebrations of the college. In the formal programme, His Eminencere called the sacrifice put in during the difficult and challenging times faced by the pioneers of the institution. He appreciated the efforts of the presentmanagement and staff and extended wishes for a“Fruitful, Enriching andGrace-filled” new Academic as well as Diamond Jubilee Year.
