State team selection trials for Swami Vivekananda U-20 men's national football c'ship

PANAJI: The Goa State team will be participating in the Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men's National Football Championship 2024 which is scheduled to be held at Ram Krishna Mission in Narainpur, Chattisgarh.

The selection trials will be held on April 15, at Rosary Church ground, Navelim from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm & on April 16, at Duler Stadium, Mapusa from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Players born between 01.01.2005 and 31.12.2007 are eligible.

Interested players should report to the Head Coach Umer Mutawalli at the given time and venue with full playing kit.

UC Utorda move to quarters

MARGAO: United Club of Utorda beat SCC Loutolim 7-6 via the tie-breaker and moved to the quarter-finals of the 10th Loutolim Panchayat Cup, organised by SCC Lotoulim, at Montir ground Lotoulim, on Saturday.Utorda netted two goals through Myron Pereira in the 15th and 27th minutes. Thereafter, Ignatius D'Silva and Austine Fernandes equalised in the 37th and 50th minutes respectively.In the tie-breaker, United Club of Utorda proved to be better shooters.
