Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda entered enter the semi-finals of the 48th Seamen Football tournament after defeating Guardian Angel Sports Club 6-5.
Both teams dished out good brand of football from the word go to the delight of large number of spectators. The DBO keeper came up with a couple spectacular saves. They were rewarded with a goal before the lemon break .
Post-resumption, the Guardian Angel boys came out guns blazing and found the equaliser through Godwin Fernandes who dribbled past three players and hoodwinked the Fatorda defence to slot the ball. Both teams were locked 1-1 at the end of regulation time.
In the tie-breaker, Joel Camara, Roque Borges, Cayven Araujo, Velton D'Souza and Mario Noronha were on target for the winners while Clifford Dias, Airen Fernandes, Myron Fernandes and Keagan Fernandes scored for the loosers.
Godwin Fernandes of Guardian Angel SC adjudged man-of-the-match.
