Dalgado Konknni Akademi released ‘Ximpio,’ a book on articles written by Fr. Tomas Lobo on October 11, at St Thomas Church, Aldona at the hands of Fr Boniface Anthony Furtado, Judicial Vicar of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman. Present on the dais with Fr Boniface were the writer, Fr Tomas Lobo, DKA President Vincy Quadros, Secretary William Fernandes and Treasurer Celso Fernandes.
In all there are 46 articles divided into 4 subjects as youth, children, family and society. The author has laid great emphasis on justice and values in his writings. Fr Tomas has tried to bring about awareness among the people of the challenges we face in the modern times. With tremendous experience in the literary field, the pastor has thrown light on various issues in his book.Fr Boniface Furtado, Fr Tomas Lobo and Vincy Quadros spoke on the occasion. While William Fernandes welcomed the gathering, Celso Fernandes proposed a vote of thanks and DKA Executive Committee Member Afonso Branganca compered the event. The book ‘Ximpio’ is on sale at a special price at the DKA office.
