Goa Tourism won the "Best Responsible Tourism Initiative in India" award at the India International Travel Mart (IITM), held from December 6-8 at the HITEX Exhibition Center, Hyderabad. The award, presented by NSN Mohan, Regional Director - India, SKAL International, was received by Rajendra Tari, Information Assistant, Department of Tourism, and Harish Satlekar, Manager Marketing, GTDC. This accolade highlights Goa’s dedication to sustainable tourism, reinforcing its leadership in regenerative tourism.The Goa Tourism Pavilion at IITM was a lively hub, hosting B2B interactions and networking sessions to showcase Goa as a destination rich in culture, heritage, and unique experiences. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director Tourism & MD GTDC, stated, “Winning this award underscores our commitment to sustainability and community-based tourism.”
