Governor P S Shridharan Pillai released a Marathi book ‘Geetasar’ compiling 18 Sholakas from Geeta along with their essence at Raj Bhavan. The book, published by social organization ‘Krutarth’ from Mardol, is written in a lucid language, and proves to be a handy guide to children, added the Governor. Prof Subramanyam Bhat, Laxman Pitre, former director of Goa State Museum and Rajendra Desai, founder, Krutarth were present on the occasion along with the Governor. Bhagwad Geeta narrates the deep philosophy of life through its 18 chapters with an aim to nourish the entire humanity on this philosophy for thousands of years. “This innovative book published by us has only 18 Shlokas, yet it will be very useful for little children,” claimed Rajendra Desai, Krutarth, adding, “Krutarth has completed seven years and stepped in the eight. As an inaugurator project in the eighth year, we aim to gift ‘Geetasar’ to 10,000 school children this year.”
