MARGAO: Guardian Angel Sports Club edged past Carmona Sports Club 2-1 to move into the quarterfinals of the UCT trophy inter-village football tournament, organised by United Cub of Telaulim in the 9-a-side inter-village football tournament, at Telaulim village school ground, on Tuesday .

Guardian Angel Sports Club netted two goals through Bliton Furtado and Ryan Menezes in the 25th and 46th minutes respectively while Sanford Fernandes pulled a goal back for Carmona SC in the 50th minute.

Pelegrino Pires presented the man of the match to Rayan Menezes of Guardian Angel SC.

PANAJI: Goa Netball Association will conduct selection trials to select the Goa netball team which will participate in the 30th Sub-Junior National Netball Championship (boys & girls) to be held from December 28 to 31 in Tamil Nadu.The trials will be held on December 14, at Panchayat ground, Canacona at 4 pm and on December 16, at Bethany Convent High School-Sao Jose De Areal, at 4 pm.Interested players are requested to report with complete playing kit and registration card…
