Guardian Angel SC get better of UC Verna

MARGAO: Guardian Angel SC got the better of United Club of Verna 4-2 to move into the quarterfinals of the 16th St Anthony Festival Cup, organised by St Anthony FC Assolda, at Moll ground Assolda, on Monday.

Guardian Angel SC netted through a brace through Adriano Gomes while Godwin Fernandes and Cyril Dias netted a goal each in the 7th, 19th, 24th and 69th minutes respectively while Desman Gama and Roydon Rego netted a goal each in the 46th minutes and 50th minutes respectively for United Club of Verna.

MARGAO: Loyola HS of Margao, Bethany Convent HS of Sao Jose de Areal and Perpetual Convent HS of Navelim made it to the semifinals of the U-15 Salcete Taulka Subroto Mukherjee football tournament , organised by DSYA, at Dramapur football ground.Irwin Faleiro’s lone goal helped Loyola HS to beat Manovikas EHS.
