PANAJI
Hindu Raksha Maha-aghadi karyakarta melava (volunteers’ meet) was held at Gomantak Maratha Samaj hall in Panaji with the participation of various organisations including Sanatan Saunstha, Bharat Mata ki Jai, Patanjali, Surajya Saunstha and Goa Seva Pratisthan. Subhash Velinkar, convenor of Hindu Raksha Maha-aghadi who addressed the meet stated that as Hindus in the State respect all other religions, they expect similar behaviour from others. "We have never attacked other religions and hence will not allow others to attack our own (Hindu) religion, and can never allow anti national activities to be held in the State of Goa and the country. For us, nation is first, everything else is secondary,” said Velinkar. The multiple Hindu organisations in the State should unite against the anti-nationalists who are working under the guise of secularism, appealed Velingkar. He was accompanied by Chetan Rajhans, Shubha Sawant, Nitin Phaldesai, Kamlesh Bandekar, Dr Suraj Kanekar, Nilesh Singbal and Pravin Nesvankar.
