To give a platform to the budding talent and showcase the skills of music and melody, an all Goa inter higher secondary Konkani solo singing competition was organized by the PTA of St Theresa’s Higher Secondary School, Candolim.
The august gathering was welcomed by the school Manager “ Rev Fr. Johnsie Colaco. Renowned Konkani artists and musicians, Fr Peter Simon Mascarenhas, Irene Cardozo and Tomazinho Cardozo judged the event.
The songs were sung by the students with a lot of passion, sense of pride and self confidence. In a tough competition, Victoria R Da Costa of Rosary HSS, Navelim won the first prize. Soumya S Lotlikar of Shree Damodar HSS, Margao & Eliora Grace Fernandes of Mount Mary’s HSS, Chinchinim bagged the second and third prize.
The Consolation prizes were awarded to Frenwin M Fernandes of St Francis Xavier HSS, Siolim and Larya Fernandes of Harmal Panchakroshi HSS, Harmal.
