As part of the State level function of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti Celebration to be held on February 19 at Farmagudi, Ponda, the Department of Information and Publicity will organize an all Goa Inter Collegiate Quiz on the topic “ Life and Times of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (1627 to 1680) with stress on Shivaji’s Fort and All Goa Theatrical Entry (Natya Pravesh) Competition for students of High School and Higher Secondary Level on the life and work of Shivaji Maharaj from 9.00 am onwards at the precincts of Ganapati Temple premises at Farmagudi. The winners of Intercollegiate Quiz will be awarded a Cash Prize of Rs 10,000/-, Rs 7,000/- and Rs 5,000/- as first, second and third prizes respectively and two consolation prizes of Rs 1,000/- each. The winners of theatrical entry (Natya Pravesh) Competition will be awarded cash prizes of Rs10,000/-, Rs7,000/- and Rs5,000/- as first, second and third prize respectively besides certificates to those educational institutions participating in the contest. Those interested in participating in the above competition may submit their entries to the Department of Information and Publicity during the office hours before February 16.
