Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha handed over an ambulance to the Cansaulim Primary Health Centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Saldanha thanked the NGO ‘Support Group for Covid Warriors’ for donating four ambulances, two for North Goa and two for South Goa, of which one was donated to the Cansaulim Primary Health Centre. “This is the need of the hour because very often a patient falls seriously ill and needs to be transported immediately to a hospital. Speaking on the occasion, Cansaulim PHC Health Officer Dr Soccoro Quadros said this ambulance would play a vital role at the PHC. “We have one ambulance but this second ambulance will be of vital service to shift our patients from PHC when they are referred to other hospitals,” said Dr Quadros, who thanked the MLA and the Support Group for Covid Warriors for providing the ambulance to the PHC.
