MARGAO: Navelim SC defeated Carmona SC 2-0 to enter the quarterfinals of the Late Bishute Temudo, Frankie Pires and Jose Santa Rita Coelho memorial inter-village football tournament inaugural match, at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Wednesday.
Carmona's Yuri Alemao's long ranger failed to pop up into the Navelim net in the sixth minute. Aulon Gomes of Navelim missed the target by a whisker.
Navelim netted two quick goals through Nash Pereira and Prestly Gomes in the 23rd and 45th minutes respectively.
