Barely three months after getting elected as Kalay Sarpanch, Bablo Kharat and his deputy Shraddha Borker have been served a no-confidence motion by four of the seven panchayat members.The signatories to the motion are Suraj Kashinath Naik, Bapo Kano Shelko, Viraj Mahadev Verenkar and Kishor Rama Gauns Dessai.Incidentally, Shelko had backed Kharat when he was elected in September following the ouster of Kishor Rama Gauns Dessai. In the no-confidence motion submitted to the Sanguem block development officer, the four panchas have accused Bablo Kharat and Shraddha Borker of failing to involve other members in development works of the panchayat and for misusing their powers.
