MARGAO: Rossman Cruz Verna earned their spot in the finals of the 22nd Fr Basilio Andrade Memorial Tournament, hosted by Associacao Academica de Majorda-Utorda-Calata, after a thrilling encounter that saw them pip Raia Sports Club 1-0 ,at Musson ground, in Majorda.
In a closely contested match filled with back-and-forth action, the fans witnessed more missed opportunities than successful strikes. Verna had their moment to test Raia's goal, and they did so successfully when Lenon's strike from inside the Raia box eluded a diving Jake Pereira, to find the back of the net.
Raia continued to press for the equaliser, but their attacks lacked cohesion. Rossman Cruz Verna will now face off against Navelim Sporting Club in the final.
