Mormugao Port Trust Dy Chairman G P Rai informed reporters on Tuesday that Government of India is providing financial support to states through Sagarmala scheme for promoting coastal and nautical tourism in Goa.
" MPT has taken up two to three floating pontoons under this initiative in an order to boost tourism activity in the state . The State been asked to offer detailed plans for projects to promote coastal tourism and MPT has been asked to coordinate with state government to take up the quality projects. The projects taken up to boost coastal and nautical tourism include floating pontoons and ropeway projects as well," said Rai.
