PANAJIThe Lions Club of Nuvem Verna - Dist 317 B Region IX, held a 'Each one - Plant one - care one - Donate one' Saplings Plantation and Distribution Programme at Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna recently in collaboration with the Eco Club of the school. With the support of the Forest Department, 700 medicinal and fruit bearing saplings were distributed. President of Lions Club of Nuvem Verna Wilma Pereira along with school manager Rev Fr Issac Fernandes, Headmaster Condrad Mendes and Club members planted fruit bearing saplings within the school campus. Saplings were also gifted to the students to nurture at home. Students were explained the importance of tree plantation in the economic system and were urged to be crusaders in the mission 'Let’s go Green’.
