A seminar on rabies will be organised at Goa Medical College, Bambolim on December 8 at 3 pm in the pathology department seminar hall. The seminar will be chaired by Dr R G Wiseman Pinto, Professor and Head of Pathology Department GMC and President Asian Society of Cytopathology. The speakers will Dr Teresa Noronha Ferreira, Professor and Head of Neurology department GMC, Dr Pannag Kumar, Assistant Professor Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology GMC, Dr Greeshma Thampan, Resident in Microbiology department GMC, Dr Abarna P, Resident in pathology department GMC.
The topics covered will be rabies clinical features, incidence, mode of transmission, gross, microscopic, diagnosis, prevention, vaccine and immunoglobulin and management. The seminar is open to doctors and medical students and is as per NMC, Goa University, NEP and national board of examinations regulations and guidelines.
