MARGAO: The South Goa District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), in coordination with the State District Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), Goa and in collaboration with NDMA will conduct a State Level Mock Exercise on Cyclone and Induced Disaster on April 25 from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm. The following sites have been designated for the Mock Exercise in the South Goa District: Mormugao Port Authority, Within MPA premises; Goa Shipyard, Vaddem Ground outside GSL premises; IOCL & HP Terminal, Within IOCL Terminal; Baina Beach Area, Baina Beach; Chowgule Shipyard, Office of the Mamlatdar of Ponda Taluka; Murdi Bagh, Khandepar, Ponda Goa, Office of the Mamlatdar of Ponda Taluka; Naquerim Betul Panchayat (New), Office of Talathi V.P. Naquerim-Betul. South Goa district Collector, Egna Cleetus has informed that the evacuation process and activation of early warning systems will be carried out as part of the Mock Exercise to check the efficiency of the communication.
