PANAJI: V-CAS Club (Vasudha Colony Club for Cultural, Arts and Sports activities) conducted a drawing competition at the Bethany Convent on Sunday, August 6 for children of Alto Santa Cruz. The theme of the drawing competition was ‘Significance of tree plantation to Mother Earth’.
Forty-four children participated in the event across three categories -- sub-junior, junior and senior. Nayan Gawaskar, Nagesh Rao Sardesai and Rajesh Kenkre judged the event. Participation certificates were presented to all the participants. In the senior category, Keylii Oliveira won the first prize, followed by Mahima Chaudhary in second place and Muskan Pathan in third place.
In the junior category, Antara Singh won the first prize, followed by Master Harish Sharma in second place and Aadya Haldankar in third place. The judges also recognised the work of Om-Ansh Vaigankar and Vrishti Vinayak Naik in the juniors category by awarding them with a Special Mention prize.
