PANAJI: Verna police has registered an FIR against unknown accused for allegedly cheating the Branch Manager of a nationalised bank at Verna to the tune of Rs 8,99,890.
The fraudster called on the mobile phone of the victim Branch Manager impersonating as a customer of the branch and induced her to transfer an amount of Rs 8,99,890 in another account, further investigation is on.
