MARGAO: Cuncolim Municipal Council BJP Councilor Vishal Dessai was elected as the new president of Cuncolim Union at its general body meeting held, at the Cuncolim Club house, on Sunday. He won against Suraj Ambe comprehensively in the elections by 30 votes.
The other executive members elected from Vishal's panel include Savio Gomes, Siano Fernandes, Prahalad Dessai, Raimundo D'Souza, Oscar Martins, Dinesh Naik, Ashok Fadte and Leo Moraes. Nilesh Kunde was elected from Ambe's panel.
