Walk-in interview for Senior Research Fellow at GU on Dec 7

Applications are invited from eligible candidates on plain paper for one post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) to work in the School of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences for R&D project funded by the Space Research Laboratory of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the guidance of Prof Harilal B Menon, the Principal Investigator of the project. Minimum Qualifications required is a Master’s degree in Marine Sciences with specialization in Physical Oceanography/Marine Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology. Those with a Marine Sciences degree should have experience in estimating aerosol optical depth through MWR/Sunphotometer, Black Carbon mass concentration through Aethalometer, aerosol scattering coefficient through Integrating Nephelometer and experience in estimating MABL from Radiosonde measurements over the oceanic environment. Desirable Qualification is knowledge of programming in MATLAB. The Fellowship/Assistantship is for Rs 25,000 per month plus @16% HRA) and the age limit is 35 years. The walk-in interview will be held on December 7 at 10 am in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, Goa University. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for the interview.
