World Art Day will be celebrated at Carpe Diem with ‘An Evening of Theatre’ on April 15 at 7 pm with the staging of ‘Jamun ka Ped’ directed by Shravan Fondekar and performed by Mandar Jog. It is a unique story of a man trapped under a fallen tree and his desperate plea for help. The story explores the man’s emotions and his struggle for survival and is a commentary on the bureaucratic system and its workings and how it affects people in need. Also a three-day workshop ‘On Glaze Tile Painting’ will be conducted with ceramic artist Ramdas Gadekar who would train to create a multi-tiled mural, coffee table top or tray top till April 16 at 4-6.30 pm. Enthusiasts can register for the workshop.
