KTC Drivers & Allied Employees' Association has given a call for a ‘Maha Mellavo’ at KTC Bus-Stand, Panjim on February 8, 2021, to highlight the long-pending demands of the workers and staff employed in Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd (KTCL).
The Union has demanded the signing of the 7th pay agreement and payment of arrears, restoration of Provident Fund (PF) remittances of KTCL employees and staff filling-up of vacancies of Traffic Inspectors, granting of promotions and MACP's, stop artificial breaks-in-service to Badli drivers and conductors, regularise the services of Badli drivers and conductors since over 350 vacancies have arisen in KTCL due to attrition of over 500 workmen in the corporation during the last 6 years, flex minimum salary of Badli drivers and conductors at Rs 25,500 per month with effect from January 1, 2016, probation period of Badli workmen to be not more than six months, and procure 200 new buses to augment KTCL fleet.
