2 Covid deaths, 59 new cases recorded

Two more Covid-related deaths were recorded in the mortality bulletin of the State’s Health Department on Tuesday taking the total Covid victim count of Goa to 774.

The deceased persons include a 52-year-old woman from Raia, Salcete and a 71-year-old woman from Panaji succumbed to Covid.

Meanwhile, 59 new cases of the infection were detected from among the 1,505 samples tested for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed cases have almost touched 54,000 in Goa of which the active count is 692. With 52,930 persons recovering from Covid-19 till date.
