The Congress will hold a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ on Monday to commemorate its Foundation Day in Mapusa which will be followed by a function at the North Goa District office.
The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has organised the state-level function in association with North Goa District Congress Committee and the block committees from North Goa.
The ‘Tiranga Yatra’ will commence from the Gandhi Chowk at 4 pm and proceed to the district office for the State level function.
“The function will start with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by felicitation of senior Congressmen,” said Vijay Bhike, President of North Goa District Congress Committee.
Besides Congress MLAs, several senior Congressmen and party functionaries are expected to attend the function.
