Even as fresh daily Covid-19 infection numbers kept dwindling, people dying from the disease continued to haunt the medical fraternity charged with handling the pandemic in Goa.
On Thursday, nine more people died of Covid-19 taking the State's death toll up to 3717.
Nationally too, the Union health ministry has raised concern over the rising number of deaths due to the disease in this current third wave although the peak of it has already been surpassed.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Health Service daily bulletin has reported 618 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours with the positivity rate dropping further to 14.73 %.
The State's active Covid-19 caseload also further declined to 6,705 as 955 people were declared as fully recovered from the disease in the bulletin. Also hospital admissions on Thursday were 52.
