Delta Ports sets new operational benchmark at Mormugao Terminal amid monsoon

PANAJI: Delta Ports Mormugao Terminal Pvt Ltd has set a new operational benchmark by efficiently completing the discharge of 60,500 metric tonnes of Iron Ore Fines from MV Jal Kalpavriksha at Berth No. 10.

The cargo, consigned to M/s Mandovi Pellets, Goa, was unloaded in just 49 hours. Notably, 29,284 metric tonnes were handled in the final 24 hours alone, marking a record for the terminal during this season.

Delta Ports credited the milestone to the leadership of Vice President Raghoba Kotkar and the coordinated efforts of the terminal operations team. 

“This is yet another feather in our cap,” said a Delta Ports spokesperson. “It demonstrates our preparedness and capability to perform efficiently, even in challenging weather, while upholding the highest standards of safety and service.”
