GFP warns pharma firms to stop advertising interviews outside Goa

MARGAO

Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai has warned of action if the pharma companies do not stop advertising interviews outside Goa for jobs based in the state.

After Indoco Pharma has advertised interviews outside Goa for jobs based in Goa, the Goa Forward Chief warned “enough is enough”.

“They are repeat offenders, knowingly bypassing Goan youth and treating locals as if they don't exist. And this government is too weak & too complicit to stop them. Last year they were forced to cancel similar interviews after our intervention”, he said.

He added: “We are putting Indoco and the government of Goa on notice. If you think Goemkars can be taken for granted, think again”.

Saying the people of Goa will not stay silent while the local youth are denied the right to work in their own land, Sardesai further warned “If this insult continues, we will be compelled to take the law into our own hands and shut the gates of any company that excludes Goans. Don't test our patience”.
