Goa’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue declined by three per cent in December 2025, reflecting the impact of the Centre’s GST 2.0 rate cuts.
According to post-settlement GST data released by the Centre, the State collected Rs 365 crore in December, down from Rs 378 crore in the same month last year.
Goa is among 12 States that reported a fall in GST collections during the month. Pre-settlement State GST stood at Rs 214 crore, two per cent lower than Rs 219 crore recorded in December 2024.
Despite the monthly dip, Goa received Rs 3,288 crore as its SGST share from IGST settlement up to December in the current financial year, marginally higher than Rs 3,251 crore received during the same period last year.
At the national level, gross GST collections increased by 6.1 per cent to over Rs 1.74 lakh crore in December. The revised GST regime, rolled out on September 22 with lower rates for essentials, has seen Goa’s GST revenue decline by around three per cent every month since October.
