VASCO: An unidentified man in his forties who was injured in a railway accident on March 9 died while undergoing treatment at GMC Hospital in Bambolim on March 11.
According to police sources, the man was hit by a running train either while walking or crossing the railway tracks between Sanvordem and Kalay. He was initially rushed to SGDH Hospital, Margao, before being referred to GMC Bambolim for further treatment.
Following his death, the Vasco Railway Police Station registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigations into the case are being conducted by PSI Krishna Talpi of Vasco Railway Police Station. Authorities have appealed to anyone with information regarding the identity of the deceased to inform the police.
