MGP ready for coalition with AAP: Sudin

PANAJI

MGP leader and Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar said his party is ready for a coalition with the Aam Aadmi Party, claiming it has shown interest in a pre-poll alliance.

"The AAP has given us an offer of a coalition. They have called us to Delhi to see the work done by the AAP government in Delhi. I have accepted this invitation and will visit Delhi next month. Modalities for a coalition will be finalised,” said Dhavalikar, during a news conference on Monday.

“We will have coalition with like-minded parties, rather than with the Congress and BJP,” he added.

Dhavalikar also mocked the State government’s compensation to flood-affected victims, stating that the compensation was meagre.

"It costs around Rs 4-5 lakh to construct a basic 1 BHK house. If the government offers compensation of only Rs 2 lakh, how will it be sufficient for families residing in one house,” asked Dhavalikar,

He appealed to people not to accept the compensation and assured that if MGP was voted to power, it would construct houses and give to the affected families.
