Road remains submerged at Paroda

SANGUEM

The Margao-Quepem road continued to remain submerged at Paroda for the second day, even though there was some relief from heavy rains in Quepem taluka.

Water level continued to swell in the Kushavati river on account of heavy rains in the hinterland areas of Sanguem taluka leading to the overflowing of water on the main road at Paroda village and the Paroda bridge.

Traffic proceeding between Margao and Quepem was diverted via Chandor, compelling motorists and commuters to take a longer route.

At Rivona village, the main main road at Shirvoi was flooded in the morning causing some problems to two-wheeler riders, but the water receded later in the day.
