MARGAO
Saying that NGOs have been responsible for opening the eyes of the government on a host of issues, South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha on Tuesday demanded the scrapping of the double-tracking project from Majorda to Vasco.
Sardinha also demanded that the government stop meting out harassment to Congress Leader Michael Lobo just because he happens to be the Leader of Opposition.
The MP also cautioned the government not to bring Ola and Uber taxi aggregators into the State, saying the move will affect the livelihood of the local tourist taxi operators.
Addressing the media, Sardinha slammed the government for targeting the NGOs, pointing out that the activists have been responsible for opening the eyes of the government to a host of issues.
