CANACONA
Art and Culture Minister Ramesh Tawadkar has assured that all problems pertaining to power, water and roads in Canacona will be solved within the next two years.
Speaking at an event in Ponsulem-Canacona, Tawadkar further stated that after these basic needs are met, he would strive to bring paddy fields in ‘Ker’ at Chaudi-Canacona under cultivation very soon.
On the occasion, Canacona Municipal Council Chairperson Sara Shamba Desai, Ward Councillor Narcisco alia Nadin Fernandes, Councillors Amita Pagi, Ramakant Naik Gaonkar, ex-BJP Mandal president Vishal Desai, ex-CMC Chairperson Mahadev Desai, DySP (Retired) Ravindra Desai, firefighter Tulshidas Desai, retired soldier Chandrakant Desai, retired teacher Amar Desai, Managing Director of Horticulture Corporation Chandrahas Desai were felicitated by Tawadkar for their contributions in Canacona.
Vishal Desai said projects worth Rs 11 crore have been taken up in Pansulem ward alone.
