Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy Shripad Naik on Saturday handed over keys of specially designed two-wheeler bikes to Divyang beneficiaries under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) Scheme at Panaji.
The beneficiaries who received the specially designed two-wheeler bikes included Raju Jaganath Reddy, Suresh Anton Parvatkar and Mahesh Vishwanath Naik.
On the occasion, Naik also provided an artificial limb to Raju Bharne, reinforcing the Government’s commitment towards rehabilitation and empowerment of Divyang persons.
Further strengthening healthcare infrastructure, an ambulance was provided to the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour, Goa, to enhance emergency and patient care services.
Earlier, Union Minister of State Shripad Naik inaugurated the beautification works of the crematorium at Pajwada, constructed under the MPLAD Scheme by the Bicholim Municipal Council.
He also inaugurated the installation of solar panels at the residence of Venkatesh Natekar at Sharda Nagar, highlighting the emphasis on renewable energy and sustainable development.
Bicholim MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye, Municipal Chairperson Vijaykumar Natekar, Vice-Chairperson Deepa Pal, other councillors and the Chief Officer of the municipality were present on the occasion.
