A day after prohibiting sale of petrol and diesel in bottles and cans, the district Collector of South Goa and Kushavati, Egna Cleetus, has on Saturday issued an addendum that the restrictions will not be applicable for educational institutions, fishermen etc.
In the addendum, the district Collector stated that the restrictions imposed for the sale and use of petrol/diesel for designated purposes, subject to due verification and adherence to safety norms.
The order will not be applicable for fishermen and fishing related activities; fishing vessels and other navigation vessel, besides educational institutions.
The order will also not be applicable for use of diesel and petrol in Diesel Generator (DG) sets, and
other essential and bona fide services as may be permitted by the competent authority.
While stating that all other contents of the Order issued on Friday shall remain unchanged, the Collector said that addendum shall come into force with immediate effect
