The Colva police has registered a FIR against the owners of bull in the wake of the death of a bull at a bullfight at Betalbatim on Monday.
The police stated that on April 28 at around 18:09 hrs at open paddy fields, of Betalbatim accused persons namely Aniceto Pereira r/o Varca and Eddie Dias r/o Agassaim had organized a bullfight between the two bulls for the entertainment of the public in an open place with a public view.
The police further stated the they incited their bulls to fight with each other wherein, one bull sustained injuries all over the body and neck.
The bull later succumbed to the injuries.
SP South Tikam Singh said the owners have been booked for subjecting them to cruelty.
He said one of the bull owners has been arrested by the Colva police.
