Goan Sip by Johan’s Water Resources, Colva has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence in quality for three successive years by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
Owner Betty Rodrigues and Saturnino Rodrigues told the media that the BIS is the national standards body of India under the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India.
"No water business and of course today, many other industries cannot operate without a BIS licence and thereafter its renewal every year after conformity and testing of all of its standards, ensuring safe reliable quality goods; minimising health hazards to the consumers,” Betty said.
Saturnino said the strict compliance and conformity to the BIS standards, personal supervision by the owner Betty in maintaining the standards and follow-up thereon ensured compliance. "Hygiene is the most important part of any healthy living and our hygiene is the best that we maintain," he said.
Betty said, “It is the fact that principles and conscience should be put together to achieve what we want. Our principle is to provide the best and the best can be achieved only through the best results to maintain quality. We maintained it and therefore were eligible for this award. I have maintained my leadership through the last four years, which were very challenging.”
Commenting on their insights into the market trends, she said, “Unfortunately, not all and everyone are aware of what they consume. Water is not just water but water is life. A good brand won't be able to sell cheap because they have invested in your health to give you the best. We take utmost care to deliver our products in enclosed vehicles, avoiding direct sunlight and dust contamination. Goan Sip has always ensured that the quality comes first.”
The duo has expressed their gratitude to all customers and especially to all the patrons from the many five-starred hotels, the other reputed hotels, restaurants, small kiosks or gaddas and the consumers in general who helped them to grow with motivation.
