PANAJI: The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Goa Police has arrested three Swedish nationals from Arambol for allegedly possessing narcotic substances worth Rs 2.59 crore and for overstaying in India without valid visas.
In a press briefing today, SP ANC Sunita Sawant said the raid was conducted last night, during which the trio was found in possession of 24.8 grams of LSD liquid valued at Rs 2.5 crore, 70 LSD blot papers worth Rs 7 lakh, 49.3 grams of Ketamine liquid worth Rs 2.5 lakh, and 1.5 grams of Ketamine powder worth Rs 15,000.
The accused had been overstaying in India for the past three years, Sawant confirmed. "During the verification of their documents, we found they were staying without valid visas. The NDPS case has been registered, and we are now pursuing further investigation into their networks and possible local connections," she said.
The ANC team has taken the accused to court to seek custody for further interrogation. A separate case for violation of immigration laws will also be filed.
