SANGUEM
Panic gripped Villian village at Bhati in Sanguem after a bison reportedly attacked and seriously injured a 25-year-old youth, creating fear among local residents.
According to sources, the injured youth, Mayur Naik, was on his way to work in the morning when he encountered the bison in the locality. The animal suddenly charged at him, causing serious injuries to his head, with blood reportedly coming from his ears.
Local residents took him to the Sanguem Primary Health Centre, from where he was later shifted to the South Goa District Hospital for further treatment. However, the injured youth had to wait for some time at the Sanguem PHC due to the non-availability of an ambulance before being moved to the district hospital.
