The Indian National Congress Margao Block has announced plans to celebrate the 78th Independence Day in a unique way at Margao on August 15 at 9.30 am at the Communidade building near the Margao Municipal garden.
Addressing a press conference, Savio Coutinho stated that a "WALL OF FREEDOM", shall be created wherin general public are requested to express in one sentence his or her views of Free India. The topic shall be "What Freedom of India Means To Me".
"Blocks will be marked on a flex wall, where citizens can write their views on India's Freedom. They can opt to write in any of the 4 languages ie. Konkani, Hindi, Marathi or English", Margao Congress leader Savio Coutinho informed.
Attractive prizes shall be given to the best Views expressed on the "Wall of Freedom". To promote the reading habits, special prizes in the form of Life Time Membership of the South District Library shall also be presented to the winners, Coutinho .
