On reaching the milestone of completing 100 days in office, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday launched a new portal to manage public grievances as well as a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) initiative to pay beneficiaries of State welfare schemes.
At a function attended by his cabinet colleagues at the State secretariat in Porvorim, Sawant also released a booklet listing out the achievements of his government over the last 100 days.
The booklet also has reference to the "Swayampurna Goa" programme and also the completion of eight years in office of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Setting up of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe fraudulent land deals and the beach vigil app launched to allow public to flag problems on beaches were some of the several achievements of the 100-day-old government listed in the booklet.
On the much-touted pre-election promise of providing three LPG cylinders to households in a year to help them beat inflation and price rise, the booklet however limits it to households below the poverty line.
