With 27 candidates filing nominations on Thursday, the last date to file papers, a total of 136 candidates have filed 157 nominations for elections to 25 wards at the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC).
Stating this, Mormugao Mamlatdar Dhiren Banaulikar told reporters that those who filed nominations on Thursday were Diksha Talavnekar (Ward 1), Shekhar Khadapkar and Meetesh Mhalwankar (Ward 2), Shanti Mandrekar, Seema Kinlekar, Ashwini Honnaverkar and Priyesha Kolambkar (Ward 3), Sarah Fernandes (Ward 5), Sarah Fernandes (Ward 7), Jayprakash Amonkar (Ward 8), Alka Asolkar (Ward 9), Sebastiao D'Souza and Gurudas Dabholkar (Ward 11), Acbar Xeque (Ward 12), Shalaka Kambli (Ward 13), Sujata Kunkolkar (Ward 17), Amey Chopdekar, Kaligar Yunus Mohammed Isaq and Anil Chopdekar (Ward 18), Stephen Pereira, Rohidas Bandodkar and Manohar Mulik (Ward 20), Pundalik Bhosle and Satish Naik (Ward 22), Vinod Kinlekar and Gopal Nagvekar (Ward 23) and Vishnu Kerkar (Ward 25).
