PANAJI: Goa is set to see a steady inflow of international tourists during the upcoming season, with around 144 foreign charter flights expected to arrive at Dabolim Airport between October and March, bringing nearly 25,920 tourists to the state.
The first foreign charter flight of the 2026-27 tourist season is scheduled to arrive at Dabolim on September 30. The Aeroflot flight from Russia is expected to carry around 180 passengers, marking the start of the seasonal charter movement.
Aeroflot is expected to operate around 96 charter flights to Goa during the season, connecting the state with Moscow and Yekaterinburg. Four flights are planned every week, with services scheduled on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Goa is also expected to receive tourists from Kazakhstan, with SCAT Airlines scheduled to begin charter operations from October. The airline is expected to operate two flights a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, with around 48 charter flights planned during the season.
The international charter movement is expected to provide a boost to Goa’s tourism-linked sectors, including hotels, taxis, travel and tour operators, restaurants, retail and other businesses that depend on foreign tourist arrivals.
The October-March period is a key window for international tourism in Goa, with the arrival of charter flights traditionally contributing to higher demand across the hospitality and tourism sectors.
