2 missing girls found in Mapusa

MAPUSA
Colvale Police with the help of Mapusa Police traced two missing minor girls at Mapusa.

Two girls, aged 13 and 14 years, were in a child’s home for care and protection.

Both girls were found missing on Saturday morning.

The caretaker of the home then filed a missing complaint with the Colvale Police claiming that the girls had been kidnapped.

The police immediately launched a search operation for the victims.

Police teams began a search and were informed that the girls were spotted in Morod-Mapusa.

The police found the girls and sent them back to the children’s home.

Police have registered a case of abduction under Section 137(1) of the IPC and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act against unknown persons.
