2 more die, but Covid positivity drops below 2%

Two more Covid-19 deaths were reported in Goa over the last 24 hours but the good news is that the positivity rate for new daily infections has dropped below the 2 per cent threshold.

The daily health bulletin issued by the Directorate 

of Health Services (DHS) said 44 of the 2469 samples had tested positive for Covid-19 over the last 24 hours in Goa bringing down the positivity rate to 1.78 per cent. 

Recoveries over the same 24-hour period were pegged at 118, and the active caseload of the State is now also below the 500 mark at 457. 

The two more Covid deaths added to the tally over the last 24-hours has taken the State’s cumulative pandemic death toll to 3,797.
