Twenty-four companies, including from Goa and neighbouring States, joined the pre-bid meeting conducted by the Directorate of Mines and Geology (DMG) at the Institute Menezes Braganza hall on Friday.
Director of Mines S Shanbogue described the response as "very enthusiastic" and said that the pre-bid meeting went off well.
Shanbogue said, queries in the hundreds have been received from the participating companies and the officials of the department will compile responses to each of them and communicate to the respective companies by November 3.
The DMG had in September announced its intention to auction four mining blocks in Goa which is expected to happen by December via the e-auction mode.
All the companies which participated in Friday's pre-bid meeting had purchased the auction documents, mining officials said.
