30-yr-old man drowns at Selaulim dam

A 30-year-old man from Kalay-Khutkarwada, Sanguem, drowned at the boating spot at Selaulim dam in Valkini Colony No 1.

Sanguem police received a call informing that a body was floating in the water at Valkini Colony No 1. They rushed to the spot and fished out the body of Kaushal Parwar.

The police upon inquiry revealed that the deceased was alcoholic and was mentally unsound. He was undergoing treatment at IPHB Bambolim.

Sources revealed that it is yet to be revealed as to why the deceased reached Valkini Colony No 1. The body was sent to Hospicio in Margao for post-mortem and later handed over to his family.

PSI Sudin Redkar is investigating the case.
